It counts as a Signature spell and therefore costs no Arcane Power. All enemies in that area are hit for Arcane damage. Overall, your best bet would probably be physical scaling it's simple yet powerful. (you'd then convert the other 50% phys to element elsewise, such as with Hrimsorrow/Hrimburn Unique gloves.) If you want physical scaling - this is what most people do - you would want something like DS - Melee Splash - Faster Attacks - Multistrike - Melee Physical Damage - Ruthless.Īnother possibility if you scale enough Attack Speed from other sources is to replace that multiplier - this would also free up gem sockets for a physical conversion approach:ĭS - Melee Splash - Multistrike - Melee Physical Damage - Physical to Lightning - Elemental Damage with Attacks I would then setup the gem like: DS - Melee Splash - Faster Attacks - Multistrike - Elemental Damage with Weapons - Added Lightning Damage or something like that (depends where your sources of flat elemental damage will come from, you'd probably want Static Electricty Viridian Jewel, and maybe replace one of the links with Lightning Penetration, or use Tempestuous Steel in main hand and Fidelitas' Spike in off-hand). If you want elemental scaling, then the sword you mentioned would work fairly well for its high attack speed- Fidelitas' Spike.

I'd say you have two choices here, elemental scaling or physical scaling (you can still deal elemental damage with physical scaling).
